CLUSTER OF AL-QURAN, HADITH & ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Welcome to the Cluster of Al-Quran, Hadith & Islamic Education

Dear beloved students,

“He it is who has sent unto the unlettered people an apostle from among themselves, to convey unto them His messages, and to cause them to grow in purity, and to impart unto them the divine writ as well as wisdom - whereas before that they were indeed, most obviously, lost in error”. (Al-Jumu’ah: 2)

The embarkment of this world is often misconceived by many as the platform for earthly indulgence while in reality it is but a temporal journey for the sake of a greater purpose, namely spiritual fulfilment. This misperception could lead towards misbehaviours as opposed to the Prophetic mission of Muhammad S.A.W, to perfect praiseworthy akhlak (see Malik 1643). Praiseworthy akhlak originates from good foundation and understanding of al-Quran and al-Sunnah. It is the application and revelation of Islamic education, as it is the quintessence of wisdom in Islam.

The Cluster of al-Quran, Hadith and Islamic Education focuses on guiding students to delve into fundamental Quranic and Hadith knowledge for the sake of a higher and deeper understanding. It aims to affirm the foundation of Islamic doctrine, towards a whole new level of manifestation so that students can develop and enhance the necessary skills, qualifying them as professionals in the world of Islamic studies and education. Through academic collaborations with other institutions on aspects concerning classic and contemporary Islamic studies, students can lead the study of al-Quran, Hadith and Islamic education towards a more comparative and relevant approach according to the demand and atmosphere of the current research trend.

To all students of the Fatwa Management programme, may the next coming years take you on a divinely blessed and remarkable journey of enlightenment.

Congratulations, and welcome.

Regards,
